How much to tip
Tipping customs vary widely. In the United States 15% to 20% is standard at restaurants. In much of Europe service is often included and rounding up is common, while in Brazil a 10% service charge usually appears on the bill already.
Splitting evenly is the simplest option for groups: the calculator adds the tip to the bill and divides the total by the number of people, so everyone pays the same share.
