Frequently asked questions
The area outside the crop is hidden in every reader and when printing. As with most PDF croppers, it remains stored inside the file, so do not use cropping to remove confidential information.
Why cropping PDF margins helps
Documents formatted for print carry wide margins that are useless on a screen. On a phone or e-reader those margins shrink the actual text, forcing you to zoom and scroll sideways. Trimming them makes the content fill the display.
Scanned PDFs often have dark borders or the edge of the scanner glass around each page, and exported slides can include empty space around the design. Cropping removes those distractions for a cleaner result.
Cropping in a PDF sets a new visible area for each page, so nothing is re-rendered: text, vectors and images keep their full quality. Uploads are deleted from our servers after 2 hours.
