Frequently asked questions
No. A CPF is personal data protected by Brazil’s LGPD. We only confirm whether the number is mathematically valid.
How CPF validation works
The CPF is the individual taxpayer number used in Brazil. Its last two digits are check digits calculated from the first nine with a weighted sum, so most typos and invented numbers fail the calculation immediately.
Validating the CPF before sending it saves rejected payments, invoices returned by the tax system and failed sign-ups. The ninth digit also identifies the tax region where the number was first issued, which is shown with the result.
This tool only performs the mathematical check. It does not query any database and never shows the name, birth date or situation of the person the CPF belongs to. Numbers you enter are not stored.
